This course explores elements of Canadian and international law in social, political, and global contexts. Students will examine the historical and philosophical sources of law and the principles and practices of international law and human rights law. They will learn about legal issues in Canadian society and the international community, and will develop legal reasoning skills by analyzing legal issues, applying concepts of justice, and formulating and defending informed opinions.
